Our parish has been blessed with a generous donation of a new cross, installed in the sanctuary on September 27, 2025, during the Feast of the Exaltation of the Cross. The donation was made by one of our parish families in honor and memory of their departed parents. Crafted and painted by Belarusian master iconographer Andrei Zharov, the cross reflects ancient Orthodox traditions and canons. Using basswood and wax tempera, with gold to signify the imperishable and eternal Kingdom of Heaven, Zharov’s work is a worthy example of traditional Orthodox iconography. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who made its practical, beautiful, and spiritually significant installation possible.
Icons are an inseparable element of our Eucharistic worship, reflecting the sacred beauty of our faith.
